TAKARI LOGO

Brand design

INSPIRATION

The startup Takari design an upcycling furniture manufacturer asked me to create the logo of their company.

A round and ribbed pattern suggesting a tire. An infinite rotation symbolizing an eco friendly production through the waste recycling cycle which serves as raw material. A minimalism and a geometry just like the Guyanese culture.

The larger part of the Guiana region suffers from pollution issues and particularly from wastes. Those wastes cannot be easily recycled on the territory especially the accumulation of old tires is at the origin of serious economic and sanitarian problems.

The objectif of TAKARI is to reuse localy this waste as a raw material in order to create eco-friendly high-end furniture.

The logo

The " Takari " is in Guyana a stick used by the " takarist" or " bossman" to guide the canoe in the right direction in the midst of rapids, called "sauts".

What does TAKARI mean?
